first item

FINALLY... I got myself a new phone. well... will post it on my blog later.... rushing off now for an event set up.

2 more days to end of march

and I still have not ticked off any item off my wish list...

31st was supposed my deadline.. but from the looks of it, I might be only able to get them when I return from Ho Chi Minh City..... sigh

o well.... I shall do some shopping in HCM then.

went shopping for a change instead of working late

I was suppose to have dinner followed by a movie tonight but due to change plans by my friends, both dinner and movie was cancelled.

Since I already planned to leave early tonight, I decided to walk to M1 shop near my office to get my new phone. I was at the counter once again....looking at the phones. Guess what I still walked out of the shop without my new phone.

hehe..... i know my friends... you will probably slap me on my back for doing that. But I still can't decide which phone to get. I thought I made up my mind on the walkman phone... but when I played with the phone offered by the salesgirl, I changed my mind again.

am sick of my blogskin

been thinking of changing the look of the blog but don't know how and where to start.

me being a non IT savy person... I think it wil take me ages to do it or worst... lose all my previous blogs.

ah well... will figure that out when I have the time... what an excuse, I know!!! hahaha

feeling a little disappointed

I was disappointed and still am...
I was given not many options...
I made the decision based on rational reasoning...
any ways... I could quite figure out my own feelings...

workoholic... alcoholic... sleepaholic

my friends decided that I am all of the above and in the order that I've written... It was brought up to my attention whilst celebrating my birthday with my crazy friends...

I must admit that it's true. I can't avoid the work part.... well, I know all of you will say, yes I can avoid it if I make the choice. Let's not dwell on the work... it will be another long lecture from you... or may be some of you have given up hope already...hahah!!

alcohol and sleeping is to counter the work... i need a break from work, so please let me sleep and drink for all I want....at least I am not a shopaholic! Thankfully there hadnt been any evidence of me being an alcoholic.

oh well... better stop blogging... gotta head back to my work again.

To a certain extent, it's true that having a kid around takes away your work stress.... my bday this year, I have a new friend who celebrates with me... and I'm sure many more to come.

turning 29

I finally found time to quickly update my blog...

this year's birthday celebrations had been really special and enjoyable.

despite the busy schedules at work, I'm glad that I still managed to squeeze some time out to have fun... birthdays will always be a time to be merry, drinks loads of alcohol and party like mad...

I must thank all my good girlie friends, colleagues and ex-colleagues who remembered my birthday and all the well wishes that bombarded my HP. A BIG thank you and a BIG hug to all. I've listed all happenings in date of occurence.

First of all, to my dearest friend.. Lisa for coming back to Singapore and bringing my darlingest baby Josh. Finally I met him! Thanks for the birthday surprise at my office door step... I still remember the moment when lift open, I was expecting to see someone else instead of both of you. I am very glad that I made it back to Singapore on my birthday to meet both of you before you fly home today. I know I will once again miss your company... it's ten years my dear that you first went to Australia to study!!!

Oooo .... I will miss both of you!!!

Secondly, to my long time girlfriends and my party kakis... thanks for arranging all those men at the party...hahahha!!!. Sadly none caught my eyes but your company and all the drinks were sufficent. I can always count on you gals for great fun. So much drinks for that night but thankfully I didnt get drunk. Didnt even puke!!! not bad right?

Oh yes, thanks Adri for the lychee martini. It was really nice to see you again.

Thirdly, my JC friends. Thanks for the little ang bao contribution to my handphone. I still havent had time to get my new phone. rest assured that I will buy it within this month. Thanks for the big feasts... sting rays, char kway teow, satay, carrot cake, chwee kueh... chocolate fondue as dessert, oreo cheesecake for birthday cake.... and our favourite wine!!! That was over indulgence... but then I still havent had chance to go for the Morton's chocolate martini... pls find one day that I really can leave office at 6pm sharp!

Next... my sparkies colleagues and ex-colleagues. Thanks for the birthday cakes and all the fun that we had in KL. Even though we had to work... we managed to find time for some fun...

My sister's wedding

yesterday's was my sister's wedding... the wedding has nothing out of extraordinary. It was still a traditional wedding... perhaps a few of the traditions were excluded cos my brother-in-law is an italian. The wedding went ok I guess, with some minor glitches here and there but it's no big deal... But then the glitches were a result poor communication. My sister and I had been so busy at work that we had no time and mood discuss about the wedding details especially for the day's programme.

I only found out on the night before that my cousin who was suppose to be the driver had to work yesterday and we could not use the car as bridal car and the driver. On the day before, I was infomed that my other cousin who was supposedly to be one of the sisters were unable to come and there again we lack another car... so I had to get my friend to be part of the sisters team and drive the car to the British Club for the solemnisation ceremony.

my wish list

here's my wish list for my bday.... hopefully I can get them in the next couple weeks.

1) mobile phone - nokia or sony ericsson. I guess I will never be able to make up my mind which to get... if it' a gift I guess I will just use it anyhow...hahahah
2) a pair of comfy boots - my favourite black boots have given way whilst running an event at Night Safari. Not sure if I can ever find the same comfy boots again from Tocco.
3) color my hair - supposedly to do it before my sister's wedding but I had been so busy that I absolutely can't think about sitting at salon for 3-4 hours.
4) a new bag that fits my laptop - simply dread carrying that unglam IBM bad around and it's so heavy.
5) a new fashionable specs - i had the same pair for 5 years. it's really time to change and get my eyes checked. I've been wanting to do that but procrastinated for very long too. Oh well my eye sight is really bad now. I should go within the next few weeks. Or at least after my sister's wedding and the upcoming events.
6) not work on my bday ----- this is actually the most important wish list. I put it last because I know it will not come true. or perhaps it might who knows...

For those who have not been informed....I will be running an event in KL on my birthday. Those who know me... You know I never want any opportunity for anyone to scold me and made me upset.

counting down to my birthday....16 days

it's 16 days to my birthday. I actually plan to take a rest on my birthday. I wanted to give myself a pat on my shoulder... "well done for the past year! It had been a memorable one and there will be many more to come".

Well but the best gift was seeing lisa and little josh. He is so so so cute. The sneaky mum and baby turned up at my office. Lisa lied over sms that her friend was in town and had a present to pass to me. In any case, seeing them is always the best gift. This blog is dedicated to lisa and little josh. Thanks for the surprise and making effort of coming back. How I miss her and her new baby!

I'm glad I had the opportunity to spend a bit of time on Saturday with them and steph, Joe and Kyle joined us later. It was yet another good catch up session.

It was also a much needed break for myself. In the past week, I slept at 3 am every day since last Sunday. I was literally working non-stop but the worst is the even on Friday and handling a crisis while running an event. The current client that I am servicing now is making such unreasonable requests. I seem to always get teething problems with new clients... personality clash and miscommunication!!! sigh.... i dread to see them a 9am tomorrow.

arghh... i hate to work leh
